Abstrakt Solutions is a Salesforce Consulting Partner that serves companies in Greensboro, High Point and the surrounding Triad remotely and on site. Greensboro is one of our focus markets.
Greensboro is a short flight from St. Louis. We work on Central Time, one hour behind Greensboro, and keep meetings inside Eastern business hours.
Figures cover the Greensboro-High Point, NC Metro Area (NC).
Manufacturing is the largest private sector in the Greensboro-High Point metro, followed by wholesale trade. The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce’s GROW strategy, which covers Greensboro and Guilford County rather than the whole metro, targets advanced manufacturing, aviation, life sciences, specialized business services, supply chain and logistics, and furniture. Companies the Chamber shows as located in the area include an automaker’s battery plant, a light business-jet builder, an aircraft maintenance and modification firm, a life insurance and retirement company and a grocery chain whose new distribution center the Chamber says brings hundreds of jobs to Guilford County.
A radio-frequency chipmaker and a denim and workwear apparel company are both based in Greensboro, according to the business addresses in their SEC filings, and the Chamber quotes the president of a crop protection company on its decision to stay in the city. Research capacity centers on North Carolina A&T State University, which describes itself as the largest historically black university in the country, and the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, a 105,000-square-foot facility that NC A&T and UNC Greensboro run together at Gateway University Research Park. The Chamber counts seven colleges and universities in the Guilford County area.
Largest private sectors, 2024 GDP share.
Aviation, battery, apparel and furniture makers in and around Guilford County manage dealer relationships, engineered quotes and after-sale service that all depend on ERP data.
With supply chain and logistics on the Chamber’s target list and large distribution operations arriving, wholesalers here need account management, order visibility and self-service portals for B2B customers.
Health care is the metro’s third-largest private sector, and life sciences is a GROW target. Providers and life-sciences companies use Salesforce for patient and customer service, referrals and compliant outreach.
Insurers and financial firms, including a large life and retirement carrier the Chamber lists, need agent and policyholder views, service case handling and compliant marketing.
Regional target sectors: Advanced manufacturing (high-skill, high-tech), Aviation, Life sciences, Specialized business services (corporate headquarters, IT, etc.), Supply chain & logistics, Furniture (Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, GROW strategy page: targeted sectors for recruitment in collaboration with the Guilford County Economic Development Alliance (Greensboro/Guilford County only, not the full MSA))
Furniture, apparel and consumer-products companies often sell through retailers and showrooms, so account hierarchies, order history and co-op programs need a clear structure.
Manufacturers commonly keep pricing, inventory and order status in ERP, leaving sales and service teams to ask around. Integration closes that gap.
Insurance and financial operations handle high volumes of service requests where response times, audit trails and record privacy all matter.

The architectural patterns we use to integrate Salesforce with NetSuite, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics, and the three we avoid.
Read the full post →Furniture sales run through independent reps, showroom appointments and retailers with many locations. Account hierarchies group stores under the retailer's central buying team, and Experience Cloud gives reps access to their accounts, orders and sample requests without full internal licenses. Trade events generate a surge of leads in a short window, so plan fast capture and assignment rules before the next one. Pull order and inventory status from the ERP so reps are not calling the factory for updates.
Aviation buyers expect traceability, so keep customer approvals, certifications and audit results on the account, where sales and quality can both see expiration dates. Opportunities should reflect the aircraft program and expected production rate, since volumes follow build schedules. Service Cloud cases can log corrective action requests and link them to affected part numbers. Leave detailed conformity records in your quality system and sync status only. Abstrakt usually builds certification tracking first, because a lapsed approval can halt orders.
Agricultural chemicals usually reach growers through distributors and ag retailers, so the channel is the customer you manage day to day. Use partner accounts with program enrollment, rebate tiers and territory assignments, and load distributor sell-through data into a custom object for incentive calculations. Experience Cloud can give retailers a portal for enrollment and claims. Buying follows the crop calendar, so align forecast periods with it. Abstrakt typically fixes channel data quality before automating incentives.
