Spokane-area health systems, life sciences groups, credit unions, retailers, aerospace suppliers and metals and electronics manufacturers are the organizations we help with Salesforce.

Abstrakt Solutions works with companies throughout Spokane and Stevens counties, from downtown Spokane to Spokane Valley, as a Salesforce Consulting Partner operating remotely and on site. Spokane is one of our focus markets.
Our trips to Spokane from St. Louis take a few hours by air, and one visit can take in downtown, the University District and the manufacturers out in Spokane Valley. With our Central clock two hours ahead of the Inland Northwest, we plan joint sessions for late morning and early afternoon Pacific.
Figures cover the Spokane-Spokane Valley, WA Metro Area (WA).
In BEA figures, health care and social assistance is the Spokane metro’s biggest private sector, and retail trade comes second. The county’s FY2022 financial report ranks its principal employers for 2022, led by an Air Force base west of the city, a large hospital network and state government. An online retailer’s fulfillment operation, a second health system and a grocery wholesaler are also on that 2022 list. A separate Spokane Valley report counts full-time equivalents inside that city only, as of November 2024, with an aluminum rolling mill first, followed by a regional grocer, a credit union, a casting-equipment maker and an electronics manufacturer.
Greater Spokane Inc., through its Advantage Spokane site, courts six industry groups: manufacturing, logistics, aerospace, health and life sciences, agribusiness, and IT and energy. GSI also leads Life Sciences Spokane, an effort that grew from the VISION 2030 health care and life sciences strategy and focuses on the downtown University District. That district is home to WSU Spokane, Washington State University’s health sciences campus, which houses the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Nearby, Urbanova serves as a smart-city technology proving ground, and the Catalyst Building is set to house Eastern Washington University’s electrical engineering and cybersecurity programs.
Largest private sectors, 2024 GDP share.
Both of the area’s large hospital networks rank in the county’s 2022 top ten, and the University District trains physicians, nurses and pharmacists. Health systems and the life sciences firms GSI recruits need patient outreach, referral handling and research partner records with strict access rules.
Retail is the metro’s second-largest private sector, and a major online retailer shows up on both the 2022 county list and Spokane Valley’s 2024 list. Regional retailers and grocers competing for the same shoppers use Salesforce to unify loyalty data, promotions and customer service.
A credit union ranks sixth among Spokane Valley’s employers in the city’s 2024 count. Credit unions and community lenders here need member households, loan pipelines and branch service requests organized so staff can see the full relationship during a single conversation.
An aluminum mill, a casting-equipment builder and an electronics manufacturer all appear in Spokane Valley’s 2024 employer table, and aerospace is one of GSI’s six target groups. Metals, electronics and aerospace suppliers need engineered quotes, customer part numbers and ERP order status visible to account managers.
Regional target sectors: Manufacturing, Logistics, Aerospace, Health and Life Sciences, Agribusiness, IT and Energy (Advantage Spokane (Greater Spokane Inc.), Industries)
Aerospace and metals suppliers frequently keep certifications, first-article inspections and customer approvals in shared drives, so sales cannot tell whether a part is ready to quote for a new program.
Credit unions typically hold deposits, loans and card data in separate cores and portals, leaving member service staff to piece together a relationship while the member waits.
Academic health programs, hospitals and life sciences startups often coordinate clinical placements, research agreements and grants by email, which makes shared progress hard to report.

The five phases of a Salesforce implementation, what happens in each, what drives the timeline, and a checklist to use before you sign a statement of work.
Read the full post →Aerospace sales depend on qualification, so add records for customer approvals, certifications and first-article status tied to each part and account. Model long-term agreements as contracts with scheduled releases rather than one-time deals. CPQ can price by part number, quantity break and lead time. Connect the ERP so account managers see open orders and on-time delivery before customer reviews. Keep controlled technical data out of the CRM unless you have confirmed your edition and configuration meet the requirements.
The link runs through integration. Pull item masters, costs and capacity signals from ERP into Salesforce so reps quote from current data, and push accepted quotes back as sales orders instead of retyping them. Revenue Cloud or CPQ handles configurable products and approval rules for margin exceptions. Service Cloud can then log quality complaints against the specific order and lot. We usually start with a scoped integration project, then add optimization once the sales and production teams trust the numbers.
Leave the core as the system of record for balances and transactions, and use Financial Services Cloud for everything around the member: households, referrals between branches, loan applications in progress and service requests. A nightly or real-time feed from the core gives staff product holdings without granting core access. Service Cloud queues route requests to the right branch or department. Start with the lending pipeline, where follow-up gaps are easiest to measure, then extend to member service.
